Best Moments of 2017

Since this is my first post of 2018, and admittedly, I’ve been completely useless at updating this blog over the past year, I thought I’d bring everyone up to speed – including myself – with a quick 2017 recap. There are so many things I did that I didn’t end up sharing on here, and that’s a bloody shame because as I sit at my … Continue reading Best Moments of 2017

Halfway through the week already - are you thinking about the weekend yet? This time last year I was exploring parts of Europe with Jess, including Prague and its beautiful Charles Bridge - which appears in so many movies its crazy. Most recently it was in Spider-man: Far From Home, where MJ and Peter Parker uncover Mysterio's secret plan. This year I'm heading down to Weymouth to spend the weekend with my sister and hang out with some LLAMAS! How mental is that! We're going to be going on a little stroll with them through the countryside. How are your weekend plans shaping up?
What's your favourite mythical creature in the Harry Potter universe? The half horse, half eagle Buckbeak is definitely at the top of my list, so I was over the moon to see one at @wbtourlondon It looked incredibly real up close - swipe to see a video. I genuinely felt the need to bow at one point. The whole Forbidden Forest section was insane and one of my favourite parts of the tour.
Found the coolest bar in Liverpool called @nq64liverpool which was full of old school arcade games and completely decorated with neon grafitti. Already looking forward to heading back and finding some more fun places to visit.
We just spent the past few days in Liverpool and it was so lovely to explore somewhere new. Not just that, but we got to experience @thewizardsbrunch at St George's Hall and it couldn't have been more beautiful - a million times better than anything I expected. The hundreds of candles that lined the ceiling definitely added to the magic, along with the delicious food and fantastic entertainment. It genuinely felt like I was sat in the Great Hall at Hogwarts.
Starting to feel very festive over here! Jess and I spent the afternoon at the @wbtourhollywood - Christmas edition - and it was incredible. The Great Hall was filled with Christmas trees, the Gyffindor common room was covered with decorations, and there was even snow outside. Now I'm off to Liverpool for another Harry Potter adventure, and to have a little look around the Christmas Markets. Is it too early to put my tree up when I get home Sunday evening?
I don't think there's any city as nice as Budapest at night. All their buildings glow this lovely shade of orange, even Fisherman's Bastion high on top of the hill - which always reminds me of Hogwarts, even more so in the dark. What do you think?
Charles Bridge in Prague can be seen in all sorts of movies - most recently in Spider-man: Far From Home, as the bridge where MJ tells Peter she knows his secret - but I first saw noticed it in Mission: Impossible. There's a scene where Tom Cruise's character, Ethan Hunt, climbs a set of stairs onto the bridge, to meet Jim Phelps (Jon Voight) before he gets shot, and falls off said bridge. Those exact steps are still there and I couldn't resist taking a picture of the exact spot where Tom Cruise stood. Are you a Misson: Impossible fan?
Who's getting excited for Christmas? Once my birthday weekend is over I am READY. Bring on the mulled wine, bring on the roast dinners, bring on the reams of decorations, and bring on the Christmas Markets! Where do you love to visit in the build up to Christmas? The markets in Vienna have to be some of my all time favourites. They really go all out with the lights. This was the entrance to Rathauspark - so pretty 😍
